Jay: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest, Hardcore Adam.
[Adam steps into the scene]
Jay: Adam, let me first say that I am a big fan and huge admirer of yours. You’ve had a storied career in wrestling and you are, for all intents and purposes, guaranteed NRWL Hall of Fame induction whenever you decide to retire.
Adam: Thanks for kind words, Jay.
Jay: You’ve been a staple in this company for quite some time now, yet unfortunately you’ve only held 1 title - the tag team title back in Season 1 with Mike Blood. And even then, it was a short-lived reign.
Adam: Yeah, I think it lasted a whole hour or so, didn’t it?
Jay: You weren’t even beaten for the belt. Mike Blood’s retirement vacated your tag team title.
Adam: Yeah, it kinda sucks. But I knew going in that it was Mike’s last match. I don’t hold anything against him. I’m happy he got to go out a champion, and I’m proud to have helped him do that. But it still stings having a title stripped from you instead of being bested for it.
Jay: Since then, you’ve had some incredible matches, but haven’t really had any sort of title shot, have you?
Adam: Not in recent memory, no. The closest I got was last season’s Fatal 4-Way for #1 contender.
Jay: Any thoughts on the upcoming Season 6?
Adam: Yes. I don’t know how much more time I have in this business. It’s a young man’s game, and my body reminds me of that after every match. The clock’s ticking, so I’m going to come out swinging for the fences. I want one last crack at the gold. And I’m going to do all that I can to get myself a shot at it.
