NRWL Season Four Archives Now Online

If you spend any time going through the archives of the NRWL website, you may have noticed that we are missing the Action and Results articles from the first half of 2011. These articles were hosted on an earlier version of the NRWL website and did not come over in the transition to the current site.

Today, we are pleased to report that all of the missing content has been restored. You can now go back and experience all of NRWL Season Four right here, start to finish, on the NRWL website.

In addition to News, Action, and Event Results articles, we have also restored Mike Blood's "Sweat and Tears" and Flawless Fred's "Flawless Facts" opinion columns.

We hope you enjoy this classic content, available for the first time in nearly three years, right here on the NRWL website.

Major Announcement from Storm Harrison

NRWL learned that Storm Harrison has a major announcement for the fans and is expected to make that announcement prior to tomorrow's Season Six opener.

We spoke to Storm Harrison and he had this to say:

All I can say is that things are coming full circle. It's a special time in the wrestling business. NRWL is a decade old and going strong. It's bigger than ever before. Despite this, I, Storm Harrison, am going to infuse some legacy to this bright future I speak of. It's going to be huge... and you have me to thank! You're welcome.

We don't know what Storm Harrison has in store but from what little he has shared, it could be a hint that he is bringing back a former NRWL wrestler. He is responsible for bringing Caleb back so it wouldn't be the first time. Stay tuned to NRWL for the official announcement!

Season 6 Announcement

Mr. Charles: Hello to all NRWL fans. I’m Mr. Charles, CEO of the NRWL. I am pleased to announce that the sixth season of the NRWL will commence this Thursday night. Season five was quite a season, wasn’t it? It brought us so many dramatic interactions, several highly entertaining matches, quite a few jaw-dropping moments, and some unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of the Sons of Darkness? What’s next for John Fraust? Will The 4 Elements take back the Tag Team belts? What’s next for Mark Blood? Mr. Sunderland and I are eagerly looking forward to those answers and everything season six brings us. We hope you join us for the ride. It’s going to be a good one!

A Veteran Returns

Early in Season Five, wrestling veteran Tiger Johnson was injured in a NRWL Championship title match against then-champion, Ash. Tiger's injury appeared to be career threatening at the time. The NRWL moved forward, keeping a place for Tiger in the event he could return to action. We are pleased to announce that Tiger Johnson has been cleared to return to the ring and will be a part of the Season Six roster.

Speaking of his return, Tiger wanted to thank the fans and the NRWL for continuing to believe in him.

"It was hard to sit at home and watch this incredible season go by and knowing I couldn't be a part of it. As I watched the audience throughout the season, it meant so much to me to see the fans still holding signs for me. Whenever I was out in public, a fan would always come up to me and ask when I was coming back. Mr. Charles and Mr. Sunderland, as well as everyone at NRWL, was so supportive of me throughout my recovery. It was that support and my love for the wrestling business that drove me to get back into ring shape and come back better than ever. I am eager to get back in the ring."

Tiger Johnson suffered a neck injury after Ash dropped him with two consecutive Fan's Favorite Finishers. Initially, NRWL doctors believed that it could be career threatening, however, within a few weeks, the prognosis had changed and with proper rehabilitation Tiger could return to action. Despite the injury coming at the hands of Ash, Tiger says he holds no ill will for the popular wrestling star.

"Ash was defending the NRWL Championship and gave it his all. What happened to me is what could happen anytime we step into that ring. I'm just happy to be back. I had an opportunity to capture the NRWL Championship. I wasn't successful but I feel the hunger for gold now more than ever. I will climb back up the ranks and I get an opportunity once again."

NRWL Season Five Returns

Fans,

When we last left you, you were enjoying some of the best action the NRWL has ever produced. We've had new talent making their mark, veterans and legends showing that they still have their place, and a renewed excitement for the NRWL Championship culminating with a new champion in Bruno Kowalski.

We've been quiet since then. I am pleased to announce that the silence is over and the NRWL is back!

Longtime fans know that we traditionally split up our activity into seasons. This time, however, we are doing things a little different. We felt that ending the season with so many loose threads would be wrong. We are going to consider this a continuation of our fifth season. It may seem a bit unusual but we are going to pick up right where we left off. Season Five will continue on until we feel its story has been sufficiently told.

Who will be the first to challenge Bruno for the title? Will some of our injured warriors return to the ring? What's next for The Four Elements? As a fan myself I can say that I am as excited to find out as you are.

Mikey Armstrong Injury Status

In the closing moments of a fifteen minute Ironman match against Marty Anderson at our last event, Mikey Armstrong, was injured with a backbreaker. We spoke with NRWL medical staff who confirmed that Mikey broke his back and will be out of action. When asked about a timetable for return, medical staff told us that the injury is very serious and it is too soon to tell when, or if, he can return to the ring. We also learned that while Mikey has feeling in his legs, he cannot walk at this time. As soon as we have an update to this situation, we will let you know.

Mikey joined New Revolution Wrestling League in the middle of last season. He quickly caught the attention of fans everywhere by maintaining an undefeated streak that lasted until the beginning of the fifth, and current, NRWL season. Most recently, Mikey has been seen a member of The Four Elements, a powerful new wrestling faction that also includes veteran wrestlers Tommy Violence, Marcus, and rookie wrestler Paul Priest. There has been no comment from The Four Elements about Mikey's injury.

The NRWL wishes Mikey Armstrong a quick and complete recovery.

Mark Blood Update

NRWL Medical Staff has updated us on the condition of Mark Blood following a vicious attack by John Fraust and Killer Malone.

During an altercation in the ring, Mark Blood was held by John Fraust while Killer Malone drove a metal toolbox into his face. Mark was left in the middle of the ring in a pool of his own blood. Mark received immediate medical attention and was taken to a local hospital. Mark received several stitches near his left eye which is swollen shut. While there is no fractures to the skull, there is tissue damage which will take time to heal. Despite these injuries, Mark Blood should be medically cleared to wrestle by the next event.

Mark Blood has told us that he will address the NRWL fans about this situation in the ring as soon as possible.

NRWL Releases Balance

NRWL has announced that Balance has been released from the company following the last event. Balance has worked with NRWL on and off since its inception and we hope to work with him again in the future.

Thoughts on Tiger Johnson

The following is a message from NRWL President Mr. Sunderland.



Last night was one of the most terrifying moments in my life. At the conclusion of the event Tiger Johnson was left in the ring with a horrible injury. We've had injuries in the NRWL before. It is part of the sport. We even had some career ending injuries. This one felt different. I knew as soon as I saw him wheeled backstage on a stretcher that Tiger Johnson was hurt badly. I could read it on the faces of our medical staff. It was bad. Mr. Charles and I rode with Tiger in the ambulance and stayed at his side throughout the night. We were relieved to learn that the injury was not life threatening and it sounds like Tiger has narrowly avoided paralysis. From a wrestling standpoint, however, it doesn't look so good. I have worked with Tiger Johnson throughout his entire wrestling career and I am flooded with memories of that career today.

Tiger Johnson came to me shortly after he was discharged from the military. He was a big man with a lot of fighting spirit and I knew he would be a great fit for Masters of Wrestling, the company I was running at the time. Tiger was a dominating force in MoW. I saw the potential and knew that someday he would be champion. Unfortunately, Tiger suffered a horrible knee injury during a match. It completely changed his career path. While recovering from the injury, Tiger refused to sit back and rest. He pushed on, wrestling with his leg encased in a large metal covered cast. He had to change his style. He adapted well, even using the cast as a weapon, but

Around this time, Mr. Charles' Super Century Strong Fighter had seen the rise of an unstoppable force named "The Mob". The Mob recruited mostly SCSF wrestlers but Tiger Johnson was one of the few crossovers. As part of The Mob, he was renamed "The Leg" and continued to wear the big metal cast though by that point his knee had mostly healed. Eventually, MoW and SCSF shut down. A handful of my wrestlers had joined Tex's Hardcore Wrestling Company and The Druid's Darkside Wrestling. Tiger Johnson was one of those men and he had reverted to his old, dominating self. Both of those companies didn't last long however. After that, Tiger Johnson stepped away from the ring completely.

When we started the second season of the NRWL, we really loaded up the roster and I hired Tiger Johnson. Unfortunately, most fans know that Season Two was too ambitious and it came and went very quickly. It wasn't until Season Five that I was able to get Tiger back into the fold. Despite being the elder statesman of the locker room, Tiger Johnson was just as impressive as he was when he debuted for MoW so many years ago. Again, I saw him dominate and knew he would be NRWL Champion. But history has a way of repeating itself and a serious injury has once again diverted his path. It is heartbreaking for me to see.

Tiger, I've seen you bounce back from the impossible. I never gave up on you before and I won't now. The NRWL will always have a spot open on the roster for you. I hope to see you fulfill your dream of being world champion someday. Get well soon.

Tiger Johnson Suffers Career Threatening Injury

During the main event of the December 1st event, Tiger Johnson was defeated by Ash in an unsuccessful bid for the NRWL Championship. Following the match, Tiger Johnson was motionless in the ring. NRWL medical staff rushed to the ring when they realized something had gone horribly wrong.

We now have an update on Tiger Johnson's condition. Johnson's face bounced off the mat after a second facebuster slam. That impact jerked his neck in such a way that major damage was done to several vertebrae. While we are happy to report that there is no paralysis, doctors are not confident that Tiger will be able to recover for in-ring competition again.

As we get more news we will update you here on the NRWL website. All of us at NRWL wish Tiger Johnson a speedy recovery.

NWRL Releases Rex Anarchy

NRWL has announced that it has released Rex Anarchy. Rex first joined the NRWL at the start of season four. He is notable for being the first NRWL Champion of season four by winning a 16-man tournament.

We wish Rex the best in his future endeavors.

NRWL is pleased to bring you the results of the Colors Team Tournament held on September 15th, 2011. The Colors Tournament brings with it many new changes in the constantly evolving NRWL product. One of the biggest changes is our new deliver for event results. We are doing away with this season's previous results format. 09/13/11 Minor League Event Results

Fans may or may not know that the NRWL has a minor league system that is used to train and shape future stars. It is a new system that started with our current season. We have decided to put more emphasis on bringing you news about the minor league system so you get to watch the wrestlers evolve before hitting the main stage.

We will provide match results for minor league events and give you notes on the performance of these up and coming athletes. To start things off, here are the results of the most recent event.

Singles Match

Jeff Farson vs. Machine Head

Winner: Jeff Farson in 6:21

Match Notes:

Farson's uses his strength advantage effectively. His movement in the ring is a bit sluggish. Despite his size, he can deliver big hits from the top rope. While he can maintain control during a match, his momentum is quickly broken. Farson's charisma in the ring is good. He has a basic foundation to be a popular character during events.

Machine Head is very unpredictable in the ring, a good trait to have against his opponents. While he was not in control throughout much of the match, he showed that he has the skills to keep things flowing and mount an offense. He is a more balanced wrestler than Farson is, quick on his feet while still able to perform big slams. Machine Head's charisma is low. He doesn't generate much in the way of crowd reaction.

Singles Match

Caribou Crawford vs. Grave

Winner: Caribou Crawford in 5:08

Match Notes:

Crawford doesn't have much of a size advantage but still manages to show off his strength. He also has a mind of submissions. Crawford has a tendency to try for a headbutt often with mixed success. Crawford doesn't rely too heavily on strikes but uses them just enough to get in position for a big slam. Charisma is high. The fans really give a strong reaction for him during his entrance, during the match, and in his victory celebration.

Grave is a bigger wrestler but has a surprising amount of speed. He has trouble maintaing control of the match. When he goes get an upper hand, he has trouble holding onto it. His moves are exciting and his counters seem to come when you would least suspect it. Despite arial moves, he does seem a bit slower than he needs to be. His gimmick is very serious and could be troublesome getting over with fans.

Four Way Elimination Match

Tom Shire vs. Don Suave vs. Hiro Nishimoto vs. John Austin Baker

Tom Shire has some words before the match

Tom Shire: You know, as I look at my opponents tonight, I realize that I need to show them what it is like to be in a wrestling ring. I should be in the NRWL right now, and mark my words, soon I will be. Tonight is just another chance for me to prove it!

Winner: Don Suave in 9:29

Match Notes:

Tom Shire is a well balanced performer. He shows off a lot of wrestling counter and holds. Out of all the performers in this match, he was middle of the road. His moves were slower than his opponents but he managed to control an opponent with ease. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to really be noticed in the ring compared to Suave or Nishimoto who have more natural charisma. Will need to work on becoming more interesting to watch in the ring.

Don Suave is quick in the ring. He works well with other wrestlers for double team moves. He takes opportunities when he sees them. He was slow to start but began to warm up as the match went on. Kicks out of pins much easier than many opponents. Took advantage of the no DQ rule and used a sledgehammer to his advantage to win the match. Good reaction from the fans after winning the match, however, his entrance could use a boost given his stronger personality. With a little more experience and a clear definition of his character, he can make a good addition to the NRWL.

Hiro Nishimoto is incredibly exciting in the ring. He is fast, agile, and seems to be very popular with fans. He appears unaffected by the chaos in the ring with three other wrestlers. His control of opponents is very clear. Going by in ring performance alone, he can be in the NRWL today, however, his skills on the microphone have yet to be seen.

John Austin Baker hits hard and has a solid set of moves in the ring. Found himself eliminated quickly in the match. His control of the match was very minimal. His entrance in the ring was very strong. With more experience in the ring, he looks like he could be a good fit to the NRWL roster.

NRWL Team Color Tournament Draft

Jay Phillips:  Welcome everyone, to the official NRWL Red vs Blue Tournament Team Draft!  I'm Jay Phillips, and I will be hosting and overseeing the picking of the teams!  The Red vs. Blue Tournament will take place at the next event, and promises to be an exciting and interesting arrangement of matches and strategy!  First off, I want to introduce the captains.  First, Captaining the Red Team.... HARDCORE JOHNNY YOUNG!!!

*Johnny Young walks out wearing his cargo pants and a red t-shirt. He walks up to the podium and removes his sunglasses.*

Johnny Young: Thank you, Jay. Nice tux. You actually look presentable for once. So this colors tournament is going to be something special because I am able to make some major decisions. If we left it up to Ash, it would be a joke. I am going to assemble the greatest talent the NRWL has ever seen. That's why you won't see losers like Storm Harrison or Mark Blood on my team. I'm going for the cream of the crop. Ash can deal with the rest of them.

JP:  Erm....right.  And next, Captaining the Blue Team....ASH!!!

*Ash comes out wearing jeans, blue Chucks, a tuxedo-patterned t-shirt and wearing a blue necktie*

Ash:  Johnny, you’d better watch your mouth and watch your sense of fashion.  Green cargo pants and a red shirt?  Seriously?  But that doesn’t matter does it?  What does matter, is that me and the talent that I pick are going to walk all over you, because you may be a “star player”, but not a “team player” like me!

*Johnny sneers at Ash and shakes his head.*

JP:  Thank you Johnny and Ash.  I'd like to remind everyone that the there are stakes in this tournament - the winning team's captain will be awarded a title shot!  Now gentlemen, you know the rules.  We'll have a coin toss, and the winner of the toss gets to either pick first, or pick the first match.  *reaches under podium*  Here is an official NRWL coin.  One side is red, the other is blue.  Whichever color lands face up, wins the toss. *Jay tosses the coin*

JP:  It is Red!  Johnny, you get to either pick the first wrestler or first match.

JY: Aww yeah! Well Jay, as good as both options sound, I am going to go with picking the first wrestler. Not that I think Ash has the brains to pick anyone good but it is good to protect one's self.

Ash:  Go ahead.  Pick your guy who is going to lose to my team mate.

JY: Haha! If only that were possible. My first pick is easy. I choose Apollyon!!!

*Nick Belhor walks out from backstage with Apollyon.  Nick gets behind the podium*

Nick:  This is no surprise that one of the Sons of Darkness goes first.  But having Apollyon on your team does not come without a price, Mr. Young.  When Apollyon wins the tournament for you, not only will he challenge for the belt, whoever may have it, but also he will have YOU in his sights.  Ha ha ha!  

*Nick and Apollyon leave the stage*

JP:  Ash, you're up next.

Ash:  Way to pick someone who's looking to kick the crap out of you already, Johnny.  So you might've gotten a gorilla, but I'm picking someone who not only has the strength, but also the mat skills, quick reflexes, and natural talent for this sport.  So whether you love my pick, or hate it, you have to respect it, and you have to respect.....MARTY ANDERSON!!!

*Marty Anderson walks out from backstage and looks at both team captains with a stone face. He walks over to Ash, pats him on the shoulder and smiles, and approaches the podium.*

Marty Anderson: You know Ash wants to win this because he gets down to business immediately. When you want your team to win, you plan accordingly. You put someone in the ring who can reliably get the job done. That's why you picked me, Ash. I get things done with no nonsense, all skill. Johnny, you're going to respect this team!

JP:  Johnny, it's your pick.

JY: Marty, you think pretty highly of yourself. I'll tell you what. My next pick might sting a little. My next pick is Slugger Malone. Deal with that!

*Slugger Malone walks out from backstage and immediately walks up to Marty. They converse with each other for a moment and then Slugger nods. He walks up to the podium.*

Slugger Malone: Johnny, you made a good choice. Once the bell rings, someone is getting their bell rung! It doesn't matter who it is. Ash, someone else, or even Marty, we're on the same page here. We're both here to do a job. Nothing will get in my way.

JP:  Ash, back over to you.

Ash:  Well, as long as we're splitting up teams, why not break apart the Sons of Darkness?  I pick Abbadon!

*Nick Belhor walks back onstage looking very angry.  Abbadon follows behind him.  Ash approaches Abbadon and holds up his hand for a high-five, but Abbadon walks right by.  Ash smiles and shrugs his shoulders*

Nick:  Let me make one thing perfectly clear.  The Sons of Darkness will not engage each other.  I see through the NRWL's latest attempt to break apart the strongest force in the NRWL.  Ash and Mr. Young, condiser yourself warned - if either of you attempt to create a match between Apollyon and Abbadon, the match will be forfeit, and you will have both Sons of Darkness hunting you.  That is all. 

*Nick and Abbadon walk backstage*

JP:  Uhrm.....ok then.  Johnny!  Your pick!

JY: Well geez... Alright. Well, my next pick has been making waves ever since he started here in the NRWL. In fact, Ash, he just Abbadon a few weeks ago. My next pick is Mikey Armstrong!

*Mikey Armstrong walks out from backstage strutting the whole way. He walks up to the podium and stands proudly.*

Mikey Armstrong: Well, it's good to know someone realizes the immense talent of yours truly! My only problem? Why wasn't I picked first for this thing? Obviously I'm the best choice for this thing. I am a phenom!!!

JP:  Right.  Ok, Ash, over to you!

Ash:  My next pick is a man who came in with little hype but turned a lot of heads almost immediately.  I pick "The Polish Powerhouse" Bruno Kowalski!!!

*Bruno comes out and walks over and shakes Ash's hand. He approaches the podium*

Bruno:  I don't have much to say and I'm not good at making speeches, so I'll just keep it short.  Put me in whatever match, and I'll win.  And Ash, when you get that title shot and if you overthrow Slamnation *random people in the auditorium hoot and cheer* Just remember who helped you get there.

JP:  Back over to you, Johnny.

JY: Well, my next pick is someone who caught my attention from the start. He's sure to be an asset to me a loss to you, Ash. Scotty Paris, you are my next pick!

*Scotty comes out with Trixie on his one arm, and his cellphone up to his ear on the other* 

Right....well of course I know that! .......Well you just tell him I said so.  No!  I'm-......I'm at the tournament schoolyard pick thing.  ..........the Red team I guess ........Johnny Young, I think--I think he's the Red team guy......... Well, at least I'm not on that charity-case Ash's team.  If I'm going to help anyone win a title shot that belongs to me, I at least want to be someone that baths regularly. .......... I know........  I understand that...... *Scotty and Trixie walk away from the podium while Scotty still talks on the phone*

JP:  Ash, your turn.

Ash:  Ha ha Johnny.  Scotty doesn't even care!  You're batting a thousand!  My next pick started off slow, but once he found his footing, he's been practically unstoppable!  Mark Blood, come on down!!!!  I always wanted to say that!

*Mark Blood walks out from backstage, looking annoyed. He walks up to Johnny Young and both men stare at each other, looking as if they will come to blows. Mark walks away and walks over to Ash. Mark looks Ash up and down and stares him in the eye for a moment. He nods and walks over to the podium.*

Mark Blood: Well, it's the lesser of two evils, I suppose. You know what, this whole thing could have been great but Johnny Young is a disgrace to wrestling. He shouldn't even be involved, let alone a captain!  Hardcore? Hah! And Ash? He's not a wrestler. He's a lost member of Nirvana! No matter what happens in this thing, rest assured, I will take either one of you down for the NRWL Championship. That is, if you get past Slam Jackson.

Ash:  I like Nirvana.

JP:  Johnny, over to you!

JY: Geez Ash, you just threw away a spot. Mark Blood is a loser. But I will tell you who isn't a loser. My pick is someone who is tough as nails and has stayed under the radar so far. But that is about to change because Ingoyama is on a winning team! He's my next pick!

*A crew member from backstage walks out and hands Johnny Young a piece of bark.  The inside is painted totally red*

JY: Umm... Glad to hear it! I think?

JP: Ash, your turn!

Ash:  Not only is my team better looking, more skilled, and owners of the mat, but we're about to rule the sky too, because my pick is high-flying Pedro Muchacho!!!

*Pedro comes out to the podium in a tuxedo and his luchador mask*

Pedro:  Theese ees my toornameent to ween, Ash.  Not chores!  Wheen I ween it, chu may get thee title shot, but theen I get next crack at thee gold, hombre!  Eets time for Pedro to chine!  *Pedro walks offstage*

JP: Johnny, your final pick!

JY: My final pick is one that may not be very popular. He hasn't made many friends around here and he tried to destroy this company that I love, but it doesn't matter. The last tournament he was in, he destroyed everybody. My final pick is Rex Anarchy!

*Rex Anarchy walks out from backstage and wastes no time approaching the podium.*

Rex Anarchy: Well, I have to admit that I didn't expect this at all. Johnny, you're pretty crazy to go with public enemy number one. Regardless, I will win this tournament but what happens after that is on your head!

JP: Well Ash, it all comes down to this. The final pick. Who will you choose?

Ash:  Well, I'm going to go out on a limb here and pick a relative newcomer!  Doomsday!  Come join Blue and show me what you got!

*Doomsday come out and walks up to the podium.  He pauses, looks left and looks right, and then speaks deliberatly into the microphone*

Doomsday:  Watch.

*Doomsday turns and exits the stage*

JY: What just happened?

Ash:  He was talking about the lights on the ceiling, cause that's what you'll be looking at when you're flat on your back getting pinned!

JP:  Well, that concludes the draft.  The teams are set!  Now Ash will have the choice of the first match's participants, which he will reveal when the tournament starts!  Before we close this out, if the 16th "rogue" wrestler would like to address the Captains, he may do so now.

*Meinrad von Brakkus comes out from backstage and walks up to the podium*

*Johnny Young smirks*

Meinrad:  Well, I suppose I shouldn't be surprise to be in this position.  But make no mistake, I'm not just rolling over and bowing out!  I'm not here to only be the spoiler.  I'm here to win the whole tournament!  And when I do, I'll be talked about by each captain in how the regretted not picking me! 

*Meinrad leaves the stage*

JP:  And there you have it folks, the teams are sorted and captains are ready!  Johnny, Ash, good luck to both of you and your respective teams!  Red vs. Blue Team Tournament at the next event!  Don't miss it!!!

Special Team Color Tournament Announcement

NRWL is pleased to announce that our next event will be a special one. We are having our first ever Team Color Tournament. It's an event that involves all of your favorite wrestlers in a unique way.

The Team Color Tournament involves two teams, Team Blue and Team Red. Each side has a captain. Both captains will take part in a draft where they will pick wrestlers for their respective team. Once the teams are set, a singles match tournament will take place with each match pitting a member of each team against each other. The captain of the winning team will get a title shot against NRWL Champion Slam Jackson.

The captain of Team Red is longtime NRWL star "Hardcore" Johnny Young. The captain of Team Blue is one of the NRWL's most popular stars, Ash.

Update On Storm Harrison

Recently, NRWL wrestler Storm Harrison was attacked backstage by Hardcore Johnny Young. During the attack, Storm was thrown down a flight of stairs and was injured in the fall. We wanted to bring the fans an update on Storm Harrison's condition.

Storm suffered two broken ribs, a broken leg, and ligament tears in his knee. The good news is that none of these injuries will be career threatening and Storm will be making his return to the ring in time, although that time has not yet been determined. Storm had the following to say to the NRWL fans.

I'd like to thank you, the fans, for their support while I recuperate. Being unable to get in the ring is very frustrating for me as I love performing for all of you. When I return, I promise to make an immediate impact. There is a storm once again on the horizon!

We wish Storm Harrison the best in his recuperation and look forward to his return in the NRWL ring.

Singles Match
Ingoyama vs. Marty Anderson

Ingoyama starts off by tossing Marty out of the ring. MArty pulls Ingoyama out and both men brawl outside. Both men enter the ring and have a fistfight. Ingoyama drops Marty with a sleeper hold into a neck breaker. Marty works on Ingoyama's arm and throws him off the ropes for a hip toss. Ingoyama throws Marty to the mat and then tosses him into the corner. After some body shots, he elbows Marty in the back of the head. Both men trade blows. Marty dodges another elbow to the head but it s hip tossed to the mat. Ingoyama hits a big back suplex to Marty. Marty drives Ingoyama's down with a neckbreaker across the knee. Marty puts Ingoyama into a standing suplex and drops him face down. Marty hits a backstabber, throws Ingoyama off the ropes and delivers a spine buster. Marty pins Ingoyama for a three count to win the match.

Winner: Marty Anderson in 4:42

Singles Match
Pedro Muchacho vs. Slugger Malone

Both men lock up and Slugger hits a hip toss to start things off. Sluggers hits a russian leg sweep and starts slamming Pedro's head into the mat. Pedro comes back with an elbow to the back of the head. Slugger throws Pedro to the corner and spears him. Pedro takes several punches to the face on the mat. Pedro throws Slugger off the ropes and hits a drop kick. Pedro hits a few punches and then hits Slugger with the dropkick to the back. Pedro works a series of kicks until Slugger falls out the ring. Slugger comes back in. Pedro runs off the ropes but falls and catches an elbow to the head while on the mat. Slugger uppercuts Pedro. After another spear int he corner, Pedro is setup in the tree of woe where he he takes kicks the stomach. Pedro comes back with a DDT to Slugger. Slugger delivers one of his own. Slugger throws Pedro off the ropes and throws Pedro down with a hip toss. Slugger avoids a spin kick. Slugger starts controlling the match but is kicked again over the ropes to the outside. Slugger immediately comes back in and both men starts trading fists. Slugger hits another DDT. Slugger locks Pedro in a full nelson and gets a win by submission.

Winner: Slugger Malone in 5:52

Backstage Brawl
Doomsday vs. Johnny Young


Doomsday meets Johnny in a locker room. Both men trade blows but Doomsday brings over a chair. Before it can be used, Johnny kicks Doomsday and then power bombs his head into the wooden lockers. Johnny slams Doomsday's head into the bench press several times but Doomsday eventually breaks it and starts to keeps Johnny to the ground with several stomps. Doomsday hits a bulldog and then hits Johnny with a chair. Johnny takes the chair and hits back. Doomsday gets the chair and hits Johnny again. Johnny slams Doomsday with a belly to belly suplex. Doomsday trades blows with Johnny. Johnny trips Doomsday and then hits a running neck breaker. With Doomsday on the floor, Johnny takes the barbell from the bench press and drills him in the head with it. Doomsday takes it off Johnny and tries to use it but is stopped. Johnny takes the barbell again and hits Doomsday several times. Johnny follows up with another suplex. Both men trade blows. Johnny hits a big clothesline that knocks Doomsday out to win the match.

Winner: Johnny Young in 5:00

Singles Match
Mikey Armstrong vs. Abbadon


Abbadon hits Mikey with an elbow to the head. Mkey tries to keep Abbadon to the mat but fails. Mikey strikes Abbdon and knocks him out of the ring. When Abbadon comes into the ring, Mikey slides out and takes a few moments to regroup. He drops Abbadon to the mat but Abbadon quickly gets up and both men trade blows. Mikey hip tosses Abbadon and delivers a few elbows. Mikey somehow lifts Abbadon into a vertical suplex. Mikey delivers a DDT to Abbadon from the top rope but Abbadon quickly changes Mikey fortune by spearing him into the corner. Mikey is punched several times by Abbadon but manages to put Abbadon in the corner. Abbadon reverses and starts working on Mikey's arm. While Mikey taunts Abbadon to get a crowd reaction, he gets punched in the face. Abbadon hits Mikey with a full nelson slam. Mikey tries to fist fight with Abbadon but loses. Abbadon tries to gorilla press Mikey but Mikey slides out and counters with a german suplex. Abbadon tries for a chokeslam but Mikey avoids it. Mikey goes to the outside by Nick Belhor but slides back into the ring without an encounter. Mikey hits a side suplex to Abbadon. Mikey tries to capitalize but Abbadon avoids his attempts. Mikey succeeds in hitting Abbadon with a body slam! Mikey runs off the ropes and is slammed to the mat. Mikey again avoids a body press and surprises Abbadon with a german suplex. Mikey attempts a pin. Despite Nick Belhor's interference, Mikey gets the pin fall and wins the match.

Winner: Mikey Armstrong in 7:52

Meinrad von Brakkus vs. Apollyon


Apoillyon stars out with strikes and big chokeslam to start things off against Meinrad. Meinrad comes back with a hip toss off the ropes. Apollyon delivers a jawbreaker followed by another chokeslam. Meinrad puts Apollyon the top ropes but is unable to capitalize. Apollyon steps on Meinrad's head and then delivers a big headbutt. Meinrad is chokeslammed to the mat. Meinrad gets Apollyon to the outside of the ropes and then punches Apollyon to the floor. Apollyon comes back in and hits a bulldog on Meinrad. Both men trade blows but Apollyon takes over with a clothesline. Meinrad comes back with an elbow to the head and then works the back of Apollyon with strikes. Apollyon throws Meinrad off the ropes and drives him to the mat. Meinrad is tossed into a corner and clotheslined. Meinrad slugs Apollyon hard and knocks him out of the ring again. Both men punch each other. Apollyon put Meinrad in a gorilla press and drops him to the mat. Meinrad is chokeslammed hard to the mat. After a series of elbows to the back, Apollyon throws Meinrad into the corner. The impact makes Meinrad fall to the mat. Apollyon attempts a pin but Meinrad kicks out. Both men start trading fists again but Apollyon slams Meinrad with another chokelsam. Taking control of the match, Apollyon short arm clotheslines Meinrad and follows up with a tree of woe. Meinrad avoids further damage by kicking Apollyon in the face. Meinrad avoids Apollyon's grapples and starts working his arm. Meinrad hits a DDT to break the momentum definitively. Meinrad starts brawling with Apollyon again and starts taking control of the match. After a big hip toss, Meinrad wears Apollyon down with punches but is stopped when Apollyon uses a bear hug slam to drop Meinrad to the mat. Apollyon softens the legs and pins Meinrad for the win.

Winner: Apollyon in 10:18

Mark Blood vs. Bruno Kowalski


Both men start off trading fists and hip tosses. Bruno tries to keep Mark to the mat but Mark comes back with a series of punches and kicks. Mark locks Bruno into a headlock and follows up with a shin breaker. Mark works Bruno's legs on the mat but Bruno gets up and starts to take control with strikes followed by a bulldog. Mark tries for a high drop kick but is swatted away. Bruno elbows Mark in the head and then hits a big clothesline. Mark, stunned, is slammed to the mat with a german suplex. Bruno steps on Mark Blood and flexes to pin Mark. Mark, stunned, does not kick out, giving Bruno the win.

Winner: Bruno Kowalski in 2:34

Scotty "The Body" Paris vs. Ash

Scotty punches Ash a few times but Ash drops him to the mat. Scotty throws Ash off the ropes and hip tosses him. Scotty tries for a drop kick but misses. Ash runs off the ropes and hits a neck breaker on Scotty. Scotty drives Ash to the mat with a clothesline and follows up with a boston crab. Ash breaks out of it and slams Scotty to mat, following up with punches. Ash chokes Scotty on the ropes using all his weight for leverage. Both men trade blows but Ash hits an uppercut getting a big cheer from the audience. Scotty puts Ash in a headlock and hits an uppercut of his own. Scotty follows up with a bulldog. Scotty takes over the match by keeping Ash to the mat. Ash brings himself back into the match with swinging DDT. Scotty throws Ash off the ropes and locks him up followed by a punch to the back of the head. Ash misses a clothesline but manages to hit a flurry of punches. Ash acknowledges the fans chant but Scotty takes the opportunity to punch him. Ash hits a fireman's carry followed by a hip toss. Scotty hits a body slam and then chokes Ash in the corner with his boot. Both men start kicking each other in the stomach until Ash is thrown into a corner. Scotty tries a drop kick but misses. Ash hits a big body slam and then a running shoulder block. Ash is tossed to the apron but gets back in before Scotty can capitalize. Back in the ring, Scotty hits a clothesline but Ash counters with a body slam followed by an ankle lock. Both men lock up but Ash pushes Scotty away. Both men duke it out. Scotty gets the upper hand with a european uppercut followed up with a spinning neckbreaker. Scotty keeps the momentum with a body slam. Scotty body slams Ash once again to the mat and pins Ash for the win.

Winner: Scotty Paris in 8:50

Slam Jackson vs. Rex Anarchy (c)

Rex starts the match out with a side suplex to Slam. He follows up with a headlock but Slam reverses it and hip tosses Rex. Both men trade blows but Slam takes over with a jawbreaker. Rex throws Slam off the ropes and hits a neckbreaker. Rex tries to keep Slam to the mat but Slam gets up and kicks Rex in the face. Slam tries to knock Rex out o the ring but Rex fights back. Slam drives Rex down with a vertical suplex. Rex comes back with a german suplex. Rex is thrown to the corner but punches his way out of it. Slam tries for a suplex but Rex counters. Slam tosses Rex with head scissors. Both men brawl in the ring but Slam wins the exchange with a big kick to the face. Slam knocks Rex out of the ring and follows him out where both men duke it out. Back in the ring, Slam is thrown to the mat with a hip toss. Slam is pinned but barely kicks out before the three count. Rex is kicked in the stomach but fights back and throws Slam into the corner. Slam fights out of it before Rex can capitalize but Rex tosses Slam right over the ropes. Rex gloats in the ring until Slam can come back in. He stops Slam immediately with a shoulderblock. Slam comes back with a vertical suplex. Taking his opportunity, Slam pins Rex who cannot kick out in time. Slam Jackson wins the match to become the new NRWL Champion.

Winner: Slam Jackson in 5:53

Mike Blood Leaves NRWL

As previously announced on his final "Sweat & Tears" column, Mike Blood has decided to part ways with the NRWL. Mike has been a part of NRWL since its inception and is a member of the Hall of Fame.

Mr. Sunderland had the following to say about Mr. Blood's departure.

Mike will be missed here in the NRWL. He and I have worked together from the start of Masters of Wrestling back in the early 90's. He always says that he wouldn't have had a career without me but I think it is the other way around. MoW needed great talent in the early days and without him, I'm not sure we would have made it. When Mr. Charles and I started the NRWL, I knew I needed him here to get the ball rolling. I can't thank him enough.

I understand his reasons for leaving and wish him the best. I know that what comes next for Mike Blood will be great for wrestling fans everywhere. I know I am looking forward to it. Thank you, Mike. For everything.

The NRWL wishes Mike Blood the best of luck in his future endeavors.

New NRWL Website

In an effort to improve the online experience, NRWL has decided to launch a simpler, more straightforward website. This new site will feature all the news and action you enjoyed previously but is now available in one single stream of content. If you'd like to view the News or Action section separately, you can easily filter them using the links on the right side of the page.

As of this posting, you will notice that several of our previous services are missing. The photo album that is updated after every event is in the process of being migrated to a new service that will be available soon. Until the migration is complete, you can still access the old album at this location. Previous NRWL Action! posts are currently unavailable on the new site, however, they are in the process of being migrated over time. Previous posts of Mike Blood's Sweat & Tears and Flawless Fred's Flawless Facts blogs are in the process of being migrated into the site as well.

Wrestler profiles will be recreated from scratch and should be available soon. You will be able to access them all from a menu on the right side of the page.
