February 21 2012 Results

After a short break, the New Revolution Wrestling League returns with a huge night of wrestling matches. Feuds continue, new ones begin, and a whole lot of twists and turns happen in what may be the most shocking evening in NRWL history.

Extreme Rules KO Match
Scotty Paris vs. Mastema

Following the vicious dismissal of Apollyon from the Sons of Darkness, Nick Belhor wasted no time in bringing his newest follower, Mastema, to the ring. In his debut match, Mastema faced Scotty Paris in an Extreme Rules KO Match. Both men held their own in the ring from the start but Scotty's experience kept him ahead of his larger opponent in the early minutes of the match. That all changed when the action spilled to the outside of the ring. Mastema punished Scotty with a kendo stick and then busted his face wide open with a guitar. Scotty tries to make a comeback with a steel chair but is bulldogged into it instead. Mastema then beats Scotty down with a replica championship belt he pulled from a fan at ringside. Scotty makes a comeback and splits Mastema's head open with the replica belt. Both men return to the ring but ends quickly when Mastema slams Scotty facedown on the mat with a hard slam to win the knockout victory. After the match, a beaten and bloody Scotty Paris is tended to by medical staff. First signs do not look promising for the young star.

TLC Match
Tommy Violence vs. Max Destruction

Max Destruction has publicly stated that he is concerned about the Four Elements in the NRWL and has vowed to remove them as a threat. His opponent is Four Elements member Tommy Violence in a TLC match. As soon as the bell rings, Max shoves Tommy through a table. Both men brawl in the ring. Tommy climbs a ladder but is pushed off where he crashes through another table. Max climbs the ladder to reach the briefcase but Tommy tosses him off the ladder. Tommy delivers two Vortex of Pains to Max. With Max down, tommy climbs the ladder but is powerbombed off to the mat. Both men continue to trade blows in the ring but Tommy, taking advantage of a stunned Max, climbs the ladder and pulls the briefcase down before Max can get to him. After the match, two other members of the Four Elements, Marcus and Mikey Armstrong, enter the ring and help Tommy beat down Max.

Extreme Rules Iron Man Match
Mikey Armstrong vs. Marty Anderson

Following Mikey's attack on Max Destruction, he stepped into the ring with Marty Anderson in a Fifteen Minute Extreme Rules Iron Man Match. Just as the bell rang, however, Max Destruction returned to the ring. While it appeared that he would take the opportunity to attack Mikey, he attacked Marty Anderson instead! Despite this bizarre attack, Marty Anderson battles on. With 10:50 left in the match, Mikey picks up the first pinfall. Marty makes a comeback and picks up a pinfall with 6:03 left in the match, tying the score 1-1. Mikey picks up a pinfall of his own with 5:18 left, putting him back in the lead 2-1. With 3:24 left in the match, Marty wins another pinfall, trying the match again 2-2. Marty fights on and manages to get one more pinfall with 1:10 left in the match putting him in the lead for the first time 3-2. Mikey tried to tie it up but was unable to get Marty down in time. With one second left in the match, Marty delivers a brutal backbreaker to Mikey Armstrong. Marty Anderson is declared the winner winning the match 3-2. Mikey Armstrong is left motionless in the ring. Medical staff rushes to the ring to tend to the fallen wrestler.

Two out of Three Falls Match
Marcus vs. Johnny Young

Johnny Young has had some problems with his old rival Storm Harrison lately, not to mention Storm's new bodyguard, the returning Caleb. Despite this, Johnny comes focused to the ring to face Marcus. The contest is evenly matched with many back and forth moments. Johnny delivers "Star Falling" to Marcus and shortly after. gets the first pinfall. Marcus delivers the "Marc of Perfection" and nearly ties the match but Johnny kicks out. The match continues to go back and forth but Johnny delivers a second "Star Falling" and pins Marcus for the second pinfall and victory.

Backstage Brawl

At the last event, Paul Priest came down to the ring to attack Scotty Paris after he was defeated by Jacob Washington. Instead of letting it happen, Jacob interfered and fought off Priest. Tonight, Washington and Priest ran into each other in a backstage hallway and immediately began to brawl. Both men threw each other against the walls. Washington slammed a door in Priest's face. The brawl continued until Washington rammed Paul Priest headfirst into the wall, knocking him out cold. Washington walked away, leaving Priest on the floor.

Singles Match
Katsutoshi /w Leiko vs. Slam Jackson

Slam Jackson made his long awaited return to the NRWL but his first appearance was interrupted by rising star Katsutoshi leading to a match at this event. Katsutoshi takes an early lead in the match. Jackson makes a solid comeback and manages to hit the "Street Sweeper". He tries for a pin but Leiko distracts the referee, giving Katsutoshi an opportunity to kick out. Katsutoshi knocks Slam Jackson out with a spin kick and pins him for the win.

Tornado Tag Team Match
Killer Malone and John Fraust vs. Hardcore Adam and Mark Blood

Ever since John Fraust returned to the NRWL, he has repeatedly attacked Mark Blood. After taking Killer Malone under his wing, both men attacked Mark Blood viciously in the ring, severely damaging his eye. With few options left, Mark called on Hardcore Adam, a friend of his father, to help him even the odds. This setup a tornado tag match between the four men. Fraust and Blood went at each other as often as possible but the match was total anarchy in the ring. In the midst of the brawl, Mark Blood surprises Killer Malone with a pin and wins the match before Fraust can break up the attempt. Hardcore Adam and Mark Blood celebrate together in the ring. Despite the victory, this feud is sure to continue.

NRWL Championship Match
Bruno Kowalski vs. Ash (c)

Bruno challenged Ash to a match for his NRWL Championship. Ash told Bruno he would be "wasting his shot", angering Bruno. This heated rivalry has caused the NRWL fans to look forward to this match with rabid anticipation. When the bell rang, Ash was caught off guard by a strong attack by Bruno. Despite the attack, the wily champion delivered a facebreaker (the same one that injured Tiger Johnson at the last event) but Bruno had a foot on the ropes when the champion attempted a pin. Ash slams Bruno with a butterfly powerbomb pin but manages only a one count. Bruno makes a comeback and busts Ash's head open with a flurry of strong jabs. Ash tries to regain control of the match but is unable to. Bruno gets a pin on Ash and becomes new NRWL Champion. After the match, Max Destruction returns to the ring and celebrates with Bruno, his tag team partner.

What is the fate of Scotty Paris and Mikey Armstrong? How will Fraust react to Mark Blood pulling out a victory. What is next for Jacob Washington and Paul Priest? Will Ash challenge Bruno to a rematch? Will Max Destruction explain his shocking behavior? All of these questions, and more, will be answered as NRWL rolls on! Stay tuned.

A New Fear

*The lights go out in the arena.  A few dimly lit red lights come on and sinister music plays as the Sons of Darkness emerge from behind the curtain at the top of the ramp.  Nick Belhor leads Abbadon and Apollyon slowly and methodically down to the ring.  All three climb in.  Nick takes a mic and stands at the center of the ring with his two bruisers over each shoulder.  The lights come back on.*

Nick:  Well, all you people should feel special.  Tonight is a very important night.  Possibly the most important night in your sad and meaningless lives.  It is also a very important night for the NRWL, and should maybe be looked at as a sort of warning.   You see, if you thought things were dangerous now, you are all in for an unpleasant shock.  Because tonight, I introduce the NRWL to a new Son of Darkness!

*the lights dim again, and chilling music begins creeping over the PA system.  From behind the curtain emerges a large man not unlike the build of Abbadon and Apollyon.  He wears black pants, black boots, and black muscle shirt.  Over his face is a black featureless mask.  He climbs into the ring determinedly and stands directly behind Nick, so that the 3 bruisers form a triangle behind him.  The lights wax back on.*

Nick:  The NRWL is now on notice.  This is Mastema - the newest member of the Sons of Darkness.  Rest assured, he is not here to make friend, but make destruction.  He is not here to slap backs, but break backs.  He has not come here to wrestle, but to injure.  He has not come here to wrestle, but to end careers.  No one is safe anymore.  And there is one already that we have in mind.  It's time to start clearing away the dead wood of the NRWL.  And it starts tonight!  Unfortunately, there can only be one master, and two disciples.
*As soon as Nick finishes his sentence, Mastema clubs Apollyon in the back of the head with a double-axe handle.  Apollyon falls to the ground and Mastema and Abbadon begin stomping him mercilessly.  Abbadon picks Apollyon up and delivers a crushing backbreaker over his shoulders.  Mastema exits the ring and grabs a steel chair and the timekeepers bell and climbs back into the ring.  He tosses the chair down while Abbadon holds an unconscious up in a full nelson, and Mastema runs towards him and bashes the bell off Apollyon's head with a sickening deep ring.  Apollyon crumbles to a heap on the mat while a pool of blood forms under his head.  Abbadon picks up the chair, opens it a bit, and places it the fold on top of and behind Apollyon's head.  He looks up to Nick, who nods.  Abbadon leaps straight up in the air and stomps the chair into Apollyon's face with all his weight.  Apollyon lays there motionless, chair bent around his head.*
Nick:  As I said and have just demonstrated, no one is safe.  Let the new fear spread.
*The Sons of Darkness exit the ring, leaving the broken Apollyon in the ring.  Medical staff rush out from the backroom, and fearfully walk around the Sons of Darkness on the ramp.  The tend to Apollyon as the scene fades.*

Storm Watch With Johnny Young - The Apology Episode

*Tony Raine and the Tornadoes are finishing up a song while Storm Harrison sits at his desk listening. The band finishes and Storm turns to the camera while tapping a pencil on the desk.*

Storm Harrison: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest tonight is someone whom I have had a long standing feud with. It was last season when this man attacked me, unprovoked, and put me out of action for some time. Now, it is time to bury that hatchet and move on. Please welcome, Johnny Young!

*The Tornadoes begin to play something but it is suddenly muted out by Johnny Young's music blaring through the arena. The band stops and looks around. Tony Raine is clearly annoyed. Johnny Young steps out to the stage and the fans start cheering. He walks over to Storm Harrison who greets him in front of his desk. Storm looks agitated but does his best to grin and bear it. Johnny has a wide smile and gives Storm an overly enthusiastic handshake. Storm motions his hand to the chair next to Storm's desk and Johnny takes a seat. Storm walks back behind the desk and sits down.*

Johnny Young: Storm. I gotta say, it's a nice set you've got here. Great looking desk. Ikea?

SH: You son of a -- No. It is not Ikea. This is a very expensive desk! It has handcrafted by master craftsmen and... and you know what? It doesn't matter. I really don't appreciate you disrespecting my band by playing your music over them and I don't appreciate you making wise cracks about my fantastic talk show. That being said, you are Johnny Young and I shouldn't expect any less.

JY: Really, I do like the desk.

SH: Ok, ok. So the reason you are here is because you attacked me, injured me so badly that a lesser man would not have recovered. I think we'd both like to move on and you have graciously offered to apologize to me.

JY: I have agreed to make an apology.

SH: And right here, on my show!

JY: I have agreed to make an apology here, on your show.

SH: Well, anytime you are ready to apologize to me, you go ahead.

*Storm adjusts his tie and smiles with a look of victory on his face.*

JY: Well Storm, I said I would apologize but I never said I wanted to apologize to you.

*Storm looks puzzled.*

SH: What?

JY: I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the NRWL fans. Fans, I am truly sorry that I shoved Storm Harrison down the stairs. If I had known that he would have become this annoying I would never, ever have done it. Please, I beg of you to find it in your hearts to forgive me for what I've done. It's all my fault that you have to deal with this obnoxious talking head.

SH: How dare you!!!

*Storm dives over the desk and tackles Johnny Young. Both men roll over the couch to the floor. Johnny gets the upper hand and throws Storm over the back of the couch. Storm gets up and raises his hands to Johnny, who is approaching from the other side of the couch.*

SH: Johnny, Stop! Stop Johnny! Don't do this! I'm serious. Don't do this. You don't know how big of a mistake this is. Johnny, if you don't back down right now it will be the biggest mistake of your life.

*Johnny jumps over the couch and grabs Storm by the tie. He looks over at Storm's desk and then looks to the crowd, pointing to the desk. The crowd cheers loudly. Johnny smiles, and throws Storm down to the floor behind the desk. He then sets Storm up for a power bomb through the desk. Just as he starts to pick Storm up, Johnny is hit from behind by a huge man in a leather jacket. Storm quickly crawls away. The huge man slams Johnny's head into the desk several times. He spins Johnny around and punches him in the face several times before a hard punch to the gut. The man delivers a gutwrench powerbomb to Johnny Young through the heavy desk. As the crowd boos loudly, the man stands over Johnny Young's motionless body, staring down at him. Storm Harrison stands up slowly and cautiously walks over to the destroyed desk. He finds a microphone among the wreckage.*

SH: *Speaking slowly* I told you, Johnny. You didn't listen to me. All you had to do was apologize. It's all I wanted and we could have moved on. You couldn't even give me that. You are a vicious, dangerous man and I haven't forgotten what you did to me. I wasn't going to be stupid enough to let it happen again. I knew I needed protection if things turned sour. So, I found one of the dangerous men to ever wrestle in the NRWL and I hired him to be my bodyguard.

*The man standing over Johnny Young's battered body lifts his head, revealing an angry face with cold, white eyes.*

SH: Johnny, meet my new bodyguard. Caleb!!!

*Storm tosses the microphone onto Johnny's chest and kicks him in the shoulder once. Johnny doesn't move. The fans boo Storm as he walks away. Caleb follows close behind his new employer as they walk backstage.*

The Journey of Slam Jackson - Part II

*A video begins to play on the video screen in the NRWL Arena. Fans anxious watch to see what is.*

Narrator: This is the Journey of Slam Jackson. The NRWL has been following Slam since ---

*The video goes black. Suddenly, Living Color's "What's Your Favorite Color?" begins to play through the arena. The fans explode into cheers as Slam Jackson steps out to the stage and down the entrance ramp toward the ring. He slaps hands with fans on the way down. Slam slides in the ring, grabs a microphone from someone at ringside and walks to the middle of the ring.*

Slam Jackson: It has been too long. I've been gone too long and I've really missed the energy I feel every time I step into the NRWL ring. It is good to be back!

*The crowd begin cheering loudly.*

SJ: It seems that the NRWL has been a little slow at getting these "Journey of Slam Jackson" videos out to you so I thought I'd just come out and tell you that the journey is over. Slam Jackson is back!

*The crowd once again cheers. Slam looks around and smiles and then runs to the ropes, bounces off them and runs around the ring with the microphone in the air to collect the sounds from the crowd.*

SJ: This is the scariest part. I left because I let down the Slamnation. I left to refocus, to find myself, and come back better than ever so that I never, ever let them down again. So, that being said, are you still with me? SLAMNATION!!! Let me hear you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*The crowd erupts into cheers. The noise is deafening. The arena seems to be shaking from the noise. Slam stands in the middle of the ring and listens to the applause. He waits until the noise finally dies down.*

SJ: That feels good. Slamnation, I traveled far and wide to get prepared to return to the NRWL. I trained with Mike Blood, then I went down to Oklahoma to train with the legendary Bomb Squad. While I was with them, we managed to trash a bar during a massive brawl. They had to shut that place down because the damage was so bad. I have a scar on my chest to prove it! Then I traveled to Japan and spend time training with Akira Kusanagi, a former NRWL star who runs a fantastic promotion over there. I learned so much for all of these men and I promise not to let them or the Slamnation down. I am back. I am better than ever before. I will --

*"Dazzle Vision" by PV begins to play and Katsutoshi and Leiko walk out to the entrance ramp. Katsutoshi has a microphone in hand.*

Katsutoshi: Oh please. How sad is this? The man who partied and drank away the NRWL Championship leaves with his tail between his legs, comes back after trying to... how did you put it? Find yourself? ... and has some grand vision of being relevant again. First of all, Mike Blood's school has trained his son, Mark, a dullard who doesn't fit into the NRWL at all, Tom Shire, a guy who never was able to get a spot on the NRWL roster, and Storm Harrison, a cripple who doesn't even wrestle anymore, just to name a few. There's not much success coming out of that school. Then you went drinking with the Bomb Squad. Hmm.. sure doesn't sound like you learned anything new there. Then you go to Japan? Japan? If you wanted an education by a great Japanese wrestler, you didn't need to go very far. I can school you right here!

*The crowd boos. Slam looks around at the fans and laughs.*

SJ: It doesn't sound like these fans seem to like you. I've been watching and it's been really hard for me to not turn of the television whenever you start talking. Obviously we haven't been formally introduced. I'm Slam Jackson. I am the leader of the Slamnation and I am more than happy to shut you up if it will make them happy. Slamnation, do you want me to shut this guy up?

*The crowd begins cheering.*

SJ: I guess we have our answer.

K: It's a shame, really. Once I win our match, all that hard work of yours will be for nothing. It will be a pleasure sending you packing. Maybe this time, you'll go in shame forever.

SJ: I'm not going anywhere, ever again. Sorry to disappoint. Get ready to feel the power of the SLAM!!!! NATION!!!!!

*Slam's music begins playing again. The crowd bursts into cheers again. Katsutoshi smirks and shakes his head. He motions to Leiko to follow him and they walk backstage. Slam climbs out of the ring and greets fans at ringside.*

At The End Of The Day I Look Out For Number One

*Max Destruction is holding a punching bag while Bruno Kowalski attacks it. Both men are covered in sweat. Bruno stops punching and Max lets go. Both men sit down at benches in the workout area and dry off with towels.*

Max Destruction: I don't think you could be any more ready for this match against Ash, Bruno. You can win this thing, I know it.

Bruno Kowalski: I am ready. I've waited a long time for this chance.

MD: Ash had better be taking you seriously. Otherwise, he has absolutely no chance.

BK: We will see. Ash is an incredible wrestler. I've seen him pull out victories that seemed impossible. I am sure he is taking me seriously and rest assured I am doing the same.

*Both men stand up. Max extends his hand and Bruno shakes it.*

MD: Good luck, Bruno. I know you can do it.

BK: Thanks, Max.

*Bruno starts to walk away but Max places a hand on Bruno's chest and stops him.*

MD: Look, seeing as we are friends and all, you know I'm in your corner. One hundred percent. But... if you walk out of the next event as NRWL Champion, you need to know that I won't sit back. At the end of the day, I look out for number one. I came here to compete. I won't settle for anything less than becoming NRWL Champion while I am here. You and me, we may meet in that ring sometime down the line. You need to know, I won't hold back. I don't care who you are. If you are the champion when I come for it, I will come out swinging. It's what I do.

BK: No... I wouldn't expect any less. If the situation was reversed, you know I would be no different.

MD: Yeah.

BK: Yeah.

*Max puts his hand down. Both men stare at each other for a moment and then Bruno walks away.*

MD: *Without looking back at Bruno* Good luck.

BK: *Without looking back at Max* Yeah

*Bruno walks out of the training room door. Max stands there and listens to the door close behind him. He turns his head over his shoulder toward the door, turns back to look at the punching bag. He walks over to it and gives it one hard punch, knocking it off the chains, and then walks out of the room.*

Rumbling On The Road

*A video opens to a view looking down a desert road on a clear day. In the far distance is a mountain range. In the distance through the haze of the road a blurry object begins to form. A voice begins to speak.*

Narrator: He's coming. Traveling down a long road toward the New Revolution Wrestling League.

*A closeup of the front wheel of a motorcycle is shown close up. After a few seconds, the bike speeds up and the camera catches a glimpse of the body of the motorcycle and a black boot, then the back tire, and finally, a cloud of dust. The camera swings toward the bike as it speeds away. Long blond hair whips behind the man on the bike.*

Narrator: When he arrives, he'll crush the competition.

*A closeup of the bike's headlight is shown. It shifts up until it catches the bottom of the man's bearded face and abruptly the video goes black. The following words appear on the screen.*

JT Crusher.

He's coming.

To Be Champion Again

*Jay Phillips is standing in the ring with microphone in hand.*

Jay Phillips: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time... Johnny Young!

*"Stain" by Full Devil Jacket begins and playing and Johnny Young walks out to the ring. He climbs through the ropes and shakes hands with Jay Phillips. The crowd cheers as Johnny steps up on the turnbuckle and flexes toward the crowd. He reaches down to grab a microphone from someone at ringside and then walks up to Jay in the middle of the ring.*

JP: Johnny Young, it's been an interesting run for you as of late. You came back to the NRWL at the beginning of last season, proved that you were still a star player amongst a roster of new competitors, and finished off the season as NRWL Champion. Since then, things have changed drastically. You aren't the only veteran anymore. Ash is now the NRWL Champion. But most importantly for you, the fans have found a new found respect for you. I think those fans would like to know, what is next in the illustrious career of Johnny Young.

Johnny Young: Jay, if there is one thing these fans know, it is that you were wrong about one thing. I am not "a star player", I am THE Star Player! Aawwwwwww Yeeeeeeaaaahhh!!!

*The crowd cheers and Johnny smiles before adjusting his sunglasses and speaking again.*

JY: It's true. A lot has changed in the NRWL. For me, you know, I noticed that the NRWL Championship had not been given the respect it deserved. It didn't feel important anymore. Maybe it's because I'm not twenty years old anymore but I started seeing things differently. I wanted to be remembered as one of the greatest wrestlers to ever compete in this company. It took focus and it took a show of respect toward those who make it possible for me to this every night. Jay, the fans started respecting me because I started respecting them!

*The crowd begins cheering again. Johnny holds out and hand mouths off microphone, "No, thank you" to the fans.*

JY: I may have won the NRWL Championship but as I stand in this ring, that championship belt is missing from my waist. Ash beat me in a great match. My second title reign may have been short lived but it was an honor to be your champion and since then, I'm proud to say that I was successful in what I set out to do. The NRWL Championship has been the focus of this company ever since. There has been increased focus on the champion, there have been more title defenses, and the title scene has kept everyone engaged. That said, I am not done. Ash, you have your hands full with Bruno Kowalski and a list of guys backstage who want a shot at that title. You need to know that I am one of those guys on the list. I will be NRWL Champion again. I --

*"Heavy" by Collective Soul starts to play through the arena and Johnny turns his head toward to the entrance ramp. Storm Harrison walks out to the stage with a microphone in hand.*

Storm Harrison: Very touching. Johnny, you may see yourself as some kind of a hero but I know the truth. The fans may turn their blind eye to you but I still haven't forgotten that you mercilessly, without provocation, assaulted me. You threw me down a stairwell and set my career back over a year. I would be the biggest thing going in the NRWL right now if it wasn't for you.

JY: Storm, you know the risks of this business. Anything can happen. You know what though? I would like to take a moment to apologize. I would like --

SH: Whoa whoa whoa... Hold on. If you are going to apologize, as you rightly should, you shouldn't do it during an interview with a second rate announcer like Jay Phillips. Storm Watch is a much better platform. It would be great to have you as a guest so you can apologize like a man in front of a much larger audience. I will see you there!

*"Heavy" begins playing again and Storm walks backstage. Johnny looks at Jay and shrugs his shoulders. Johnny stands up on the turnbuckles and poses for the crowd before walking out.*
