Scotty Paris Title Shot

Because of a stipulation added to the NRWL Championship ladder match earlier this week, Scotty “The Body” Paris has earned a title shot. The stipulation stated that Scotty Paris would not win the title if he won the match but would be given a title shot.

Scotty Paris’ victory awards him a title shot that he can use at a time of his choosing against Rex Anarchy. Keep an eye on the NRWL Action! page to see how this develops.

The J-Transfer - Putting Them in Their Place

April 22nd 2011

Jay Phillips here with another edition of the J-Transfer. Last time, we learned by Bruno Kowalski challenged Marty Anderson to a match to test his abilities in the singles match. I went to get Marty’s response. He was with Slugger Malone outside of a ring at the NRWL training facility. Here was what they had to say.

Marty Anderson: Bruno Kowalski? You know, he’s got the look and the determination of a champion. I’ll give him that. Unfortunately, he’s not very smart. He went in front of a crowd and challenged me to a match with this smug look on his face like some punk kid. Well I’ll tell you what, Kowalski. When we get into that ring, the first thing I’m going to do is slap that smugness right off your face and show you how to not only talk the talk, but the walk the walk as well.

Slugger Malone: Bruno, I don’t know what you think you’ve gotten yourself into here but it’s a mess, I can guarantee you that. You’ll be backstage nursing your wounds and wondering why you ever did such a stupid thing calling out Marty Anderson like you did. He won’t just beat you in the ring, he’ll make sure you feel it for weeks to come.

MA: You better believe it. Slugger speaks the truth. You’ll be lucky to leave without a few broken ribs or a broken arm. You’ll be getting a real lesson in humility, I guarantee you. Whether you love me, or you hate me, you’ll respect me, and you’ll never forget me. See you in the ring, punk.

And some strong words from Marty Anderson and his partner, Slugger Malone. I don’t know about you guys but I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens in this match!

Slamnation!

April 22nd 2011

NRWL reporters were in the right place at the right time recently during an exchange between wrestlers Quasar and Slam Jackson. Slam Jackson met up with Quasar at a restaurant to discuss his upcoming match with Pedro Muchacho. Here is a transcript of a portion of the conversation they had.

Slam Jackson: A piece of wood, you say?

Quasar: A piece of bark, actually. It had animals drawn on it.

SJ: That is messed up, man. What does it mean?

Quasar: Well, it means either Ingoyama wanted me to have a gift to hang on my wall, an invitation to go hunting, or he wanted my attention for a match. I honestly have no idea. Whatever it is, I’m going to meet up with him in the ring. If it’s a match he wants, I’m happy to give him a memorable one!

SJ: You always do. I am planning on one myself with Pedro Muchacho.

Quasar: Right, so, you want to know about Pedro’s strategy in the ring?

Slam Jackson: That’s right, man. Look, you are the only guy around here that has been in the ring with him so far. You know what he is capable of in the ring. I’ve watched the tapes. I know he’s fast. I know he’s got some good moves. What am I looking for?

Quasar: Well, I think you’ve got it. He’s fast but he’s also unpredictable. Just when you think he’s slowing down, he kicks it up another notch and if you aren’t ready, you are out before you have a chance to react. He’s not the biggest guy around, but he’s one of the most dangerous. No doubt about it.

SJ: Sounds like a fun time! I am looking forward to this and so is the rest of the Slamnation!

Quasar: I’m sorry. The what?

At this point in the conversation, Slam Jackson stood up from their table and started talking to the whole restaurant.

SJ: Yeah! Who here is a member of the Slamnation? Let me see where you at!

The entire restaurant exploded with cheers. Quasar looked around in surprise. The feeling in the room was similar to what you can experience in the NRWL Arena. Slam climbed up on the table, put his hands above his head and clapped to get the audience pumped up. After a minute, they started to quiet down so he could speak.

SJ: The Slamnation is worldwide, my celestial friend! These people are the best fans in the whole world! You’ll see what I mean? You know my friend, Quasar? Give it up for the “Superhero from the Stars”! Let me hear you!

The noise in the restaurant was deafening. Slam Jackson had turned a nice, quiet dinner atmosphere into a huge pep rally. There were chants of “Qua-sar! Qua-sar! Qua-sar!” and cheering. Slam pumped his fist in the air as they did it. Quasar stood up and waved to everyone with a surprised look on his face.

SJ: Yeah! That’s right. You know who the good guys are. Are you all ready for Slam Jackson to get in the ring with Pedro Muchacho? Are you ready for a slammin’ party at the NRWL Arena before, during, AND after my match? Yeah?!

The restaurant gave an assuring cheer.

SJ: Then this is what is going to happen. Slam Jackson. Pedro Muchacho. We’re going to rumble in that ring and it is going to be one of the greatest matches you’ll EVER see. Move-for-move, turnbuckle-to-turnbuckle, North-to-South, East-to-West, it’s coming at you full force! Pedro, be ready because we’re hungry! We’re fired up! And I will deliver you to Slamnation! Let me hear you!!!

With that, the challenges from both Ingoyama and Pedro Muchacho have been accepted. Will Quasar be successful against Ingoyama? Will Pedro Muchacho be able to hold his own against Slam Jackson and his “Slamnation”? We’ll find out at the next NRWL Event!

The J-Transfer - Respect, Challenge, Determination, and Symbols

April 22nd 2011

Hey everyone! Jay Phillips here bringing you another J-Transfer! We got a lot of stuff for you today, so let’s start things off in the ring with Bruno Kowalski!

*Cutting into the action in the ring surrounded by cheering fans. Bruno Kowalski is speaking into the mic*

Bruno: --so to Marty Anderson, I say this. You’ve got the intestinal fortitude to take a beating like you did last week and maintain consciousness. Well done. But as far as your tag victory, there’s nothing that proves to me that it wasn’t a lucky tag any more than it was a good tag team strategy. Sorry, but that’ s just how it is. I see it as you guys stealing a win, not earning one. And speaking of earning stuff – it shouldn’t matter to you whether I “love you or I hate you.” But as far as respecting you, that’s something you’re going to have to earn. So at the next event, you’d better bring your A-game, because the Polish Powerhouse is ready to make sure you don’t steal another win!

*Cut back to Jay*

Strong words from Bruno. Will Marty have one more person respecting him, or will Kowalski lay the smacketh d----wait, nevermind. So here’s a soothing interview I had with Pedro Muchacho…

*Scene opens in a massage parlor. Pedro Muchacho is laying on his front on a massage bed-table thing getting a rub down from very attractive masseuse, wearing nothing but his luchador mask and towel over his backside. Jay crouches under the table and holds the mic up to the face hole in the bed so Pedro can speak into it*

Pedro: I theenk I proved that I am the reeel deeel. And now I go from one colorful opponent to another. Thees time, I want to take on Slam H-ackson. Thees hombre ees riding a weening streeek, but eets high time I put out hees flame. All the naranja clothes een the world won’t help you, chico. So come watch me fly, while you watch H-ackson fall!

*Scene ends. Cuts back to Jay*

Pedro Muchacho against Slam H-ackson? That’s a match I would LOVE to see! Entertainment guaranteed! So, later on at the event that we showed earlier that Bruno was talking at, Scotty “The Body” Paris got on the mic too—except he had a separate, private ring built in another part of the building where fans weren’t allowed.

*Scene cuts to Scotty Paris with a mic in a ring in an empty section of the arena. He is shown on the Revolu-Tron in the main ring area and his microphone is patched into the main PA system*

Scotty: You know, to get ahead in this world, you have to be persistent and forceful. But you people wouldn’t know anything about that. I mean, you all wear the same shirt at least twice in your life, and none of you have a signature style of track pants named after you. But if you want to see how it’s done – take a good look at me. I am now in the main event at the next show. How did I get that? Lots of reasons. Determination. Drive. Charisma. I bring a sorely needed fire to this snoozer of a match.

“Even the insertion of a ladder wouldn’t be enough to keep an my 92-year old grandmother awake in the nursing home I stuck her in! I mean, who wants to watch Frankenstein one-sidedly mash that unruly man-child, Rex Anarchy, into the mat again? “Wah! I don’t like rules!” Shut up! That’s stupid! What’s wrong with you? Rules are actually more fair than the anarchy you preach. Rules allow the exceptional people who are a cut above the rest to get ahead and excel in life – like they should. If you ran the universe, life would still be stuck at the plankton stage. And as for The Masked Bigfoot – he pretty much IS plankton, just floating around in muck with no purpose.”

“So rest assured, Scotty “The Body®” Paris™ will bring the game, looks, fire, charisma, intelligence, entertainment, and interest to this match! And I will walk away with a title shot in my back pocket and a smile on my face, while Rex and Hannibal Lector are left in the ring, scratching their heads wondering what happened! Ha!”

*cell phone rings*

“Hold on, I gotta take this. Hello? …….Who do you think this is??? ……..Well then why did you ask? Did you suddenly forget who I was when you saw my name in your contacts list?! ………….Listen, I’m busy right now. Call me back later. ……………..I’m promoting my upcoming match! Why? What do you want to discuss??? ……………Yeah. ……………Yeah. ……………..Right. ………………Ok. ……………….And what did you tell them? ………………..Did they go for that or not? ………………………And what did you say? ………………..Right. …………………….Well, that’s not the angle I would’ve gone with. That’s why you’re just and agent and not a star! ………………….Ok. ………………..No. ……………….”

*Cut back to Jay*

Jay: Scotty talked on his cell phone in the ring for another 15 minutes before finally leaving the ring, while still on the cell phone. We figured you wouldn’t care to watch that. And finally, on this J-Transfer, we leave you with video snippet. Thanks for watching the J-Transfer! See you next time!

*Scene cuts to a dressing room door that says “Quasar.” The door opens and, sure enough, Quasar is there. Before exiting he looks down on the ground, off camera, with a puzzled look. He reaches down and picks up a large piece of bark. On it are tribal marking and stick figure animals painted on it. He studies it with a furled brow while the scene fades out*

Flawless Facts - The Glass of Warm Milk Before This Snoozefest Tonight

April 16th 2011

It is the morning before another event, and I feel you are due for another crumb from my illustrious table of greatness. Remember, my opinions are better than yours. That's why you're having someone read my column to you (because you probably can't read) and not the other way around.

So where do I start? Well, let's start at the top with our grand champion. Since becoming chamption, he's amounted to two things: 1) Nothing, and 2) Getting completely destroyed in his first and only match since becoming champion. Is this seriously the best of the bunch? He hasn't even tweeted recently. Then again, that's understandable. If the only thing I accomplished since becoming champion was getting humiliated, I wouldn't have much to tweet about either.

And speaking of humiliated, how about Storm Harrison and Ash? They're team name should've been Hairy Ash, because that's what they're performance reminded me of. Seriously, how can you beat the crap out of one guy for the entire match, and then his partner tags in, you take a few punches, and lose? You would really, really have to suck to lose in that fashion. Wait...I think I just answered my own question.

I want to also call out the absurdity of Ingoyama. What's this guy's deal? I don't even know how this guy makes it to the wrestling events when he's struggling to master fire and the wheel. Sorry, this is wrestling, not Man vs. Wild.

And finally, this wouldn't be a Flawless Facts if I didn't rip on the Bloods. I _would_ say that Mark is dragging his family's name down into the mud, but Mike already did that years ago. Once Johnny Young hands Mark another guaranteed defeat, he should retire a loser just like his dad -- and no, that meaningless Tag Team belt that Mike won in his last match before retirement doesn't qualify Mike as a winner.

I'm Flawless Fred, and those are the Facts!

NRWL Championship Match Addition

Recently, Scotty “The Body” Paris had his representation demand he be entered into the NRWL Championship match between Apollyon and champion Rex Anarchy. NRWL Officials have been debating Scotty Paris’ insertion into the match and have reached a decision. The championship match will be a Triple Treat match with a special stipulation. The NRWL championship will only change hands if Apollyon is the winner of the match. Should Scotty Paris win the match, he will be awarded a title shot in a future match.

The NRWL prides itself on delivering maximum excitement and the addition of Scotty Paris will make this a match to remember.

Anarchy in the NRWL

April 12th 2011

Hello everyone. Jay Phillips here. The NRWL has added Scotty “The Body” Paris into the NRWL Championship match between Apollyon and Rex Anarchy. Like many of you fans, I was curious what the defending champion, Rex Anarchy, thought about this change to his match. Here’s what he had to say.

“Jay, this is fantastic. I love that in the short time this season has been running, they company has completely given up on order and rules. There are far more talented wrestlers on the roster that should be in this match besides Scotty Paris. But you know what makes Scotty truly worthy of this opportunity? He just went for it. He said, ‘put me in the match’ and dammit he got it. He knows what it takes to get what you want. Just do it. Scotty Paris, Apollyon, I look forward to meeting the two of you in the ring. I’ll be sure to wave to you from the top of the ladder during my victory.”

Well, there you have it. Rex Anarchy seems pretty confident in his chances in this upcoming ladder match. Will he be successful? We’ll find out together soon enough!

Where There's Smoke, There's Fire. Where There's Fire, There's Ash!

April 5th 2011

*Jay Phillips is standing with Ash in front of an NRWL backdrop*

Jay: This is Jay Phillips, and I'm back here with the ever-exciting, Ash! Ash, last week you and Storm put on a good tag match, but when all was said and done, the Anderson Malone team came out on top. Your thoughts?

Ash: Yeah, Jay. That was a total bummer! I really thought we had that match! Marty and Slugger are two tough dudes, and I'm not making any excuses, but a part of me wants to question the ref's call of allowing Marty McFly to illegally come into the ring and punch me off the apron like he did.

Jay: What would you have done if you were still on the apron, then?

Ash: I totally would've jumped in the ring and broke up the pin!

Jay: Isn't that illegal?

Ash: Oh definitely! That's why only a part of me wants to question the ref. But, he's human, and we all make mistakes!

Jay: I'm confused.

Ash: That's great! Because I have an announcement that is going to blow-up your mind so hardcore you'll become unconfused!

Jay: That's not really a word.

Ash: *stone faced* Jay, you're being a Stiffly Stifferson.

Jay: No! No! No I'm not!

Ash: I'm just messing with ya! But anyway, check this out! I've got a challenge! So....who here wants to see the fans' favorite, ME, in action!!! *cups hand up to ear, listens off camera*

Jay: ........*looks backs and forth, then at Ash* .....We're on a sound stage. You can't hear the crowd back here.

Ash: Maybe YOU can't, Jay! But I totally can! And they want to see me wrestle! With fans like this behind me, I know I can accomplish anything in this federation! And that's why I'm pulling out all the stops and laying it all on the line and calling out Abbadon!

Jay: Wh-What??? Abbadon?!? Are you freaking nuts??

Ash: I'm free-kaaaaay! Yeah! And I got nuts! .....*reaches into back pocked and pulls out small bag of Planters, which he opens and starts munching on* But yeah, Abbadon....you and me. In the ring! Or out of it. Yeah. That's right. Cause when I said pulling out all the stops, I mean this is a No Holds Barred match!

Jay: No Holds Barred???!? Do you know what that means?!?

Ash: Oh crap! You're right. I don't want it limited to just holds! Let's make it a No DQ match! That should cover everything! Yeah!

Jay: Your funeral. What time can visitors call?

Ash: Hey, Jay! My doors always open! Visitors can stop by whenever they want! Abbadon and I are going to steal this next show! And when I win, I'll be sure to thank you, Jay, because I wouldn't have been able to do it without awesome fans like you!

Jay: You're welcome. This is Jay Phillips with Ash, with his challenge issued to Abbadon. We look forward to hearing Nick Belhor's answer soon. I'm sure his hands are full now working with Apollyon's upcoming title Ladder match against Rex Anarchy and possibly Scotty Paris.

Ash: That title will be mine soon, Jay! How can it not with you and all the fans believing in me?!

Jay: We'll see soon enough.

Here to Stay

April 5th 2011

An NRWL cameraman was on his way back from the interview stage following an altercation between Mark Blood and Johnny Young when he was stopped by Marty Anderson and Slugger Malone. They had a statement of their own to make. Marty had something to say about their tag match against Ash and Storm Harrison.

“You know, they say that I hogged the match and Slugger just finished up but that’s as false as it comes. What really happened was that we planned this from the start. Yeah. While Ash and Harrison probably said ‘How do you do’ moments before coming out to the ring to face us, Slugger and I spoke to each other well in advanced and formulated a strategy. That’s how teamwork is accomplished. The intention was always for me to start working them on the mat and Slugger to come in and lay down the heavy hits. What we DIDN’T expect was for our opponents to fall so quickly! Ash and Storm Harrison are fine wrestlers but obviously they are no team. Slugger Malone and I started talking after the match and we realized that we had a lot in common. We aren’t content with pinning your shoulders to the mat. We want you to remember us and remember us you will. When you are nursing your cuts, bruises, and broken bones, you’ll be sure to say, ‘Anderson and Malone did this to me.’ We are here to make a statement and together, oh, rest assured, a statement will be made. Isn’t that right, Slugger?”

“That’s right, Marty. We’re here to cause some damage. In fact, I’m starting right now with Storm Harrison. Harrison, you want a rematch, one-on-one, you’ve got it, my friend. You felt it before. You walked out of that ring with a busted head. It was something you’ll never forget. I don’t know why you want a repeat performance but you are certain to get it.”

Marty Anderson smiled and slapped Slugger Malone on the back with a laugh. He had one more statement to make.

“Well, we won’t be in tag action but I’m not going to sit around. There’s a guy in the NRWL that everyone is talking about. They say he’s got some real mat skills. Bruno Kowalski, you’ve looked pretty good so far but it’s time for you to prove it. Step in the ring with me and let’s see what you’ve got. You’re looking at someone who is at home in the ring, like yourself. I train everyday, just like you. You even showed you have a mean streak in you after last week’s Triple Threat match. Well, aside from me, there’s no one else in the NRWL that matches you so completely. Let’s do this. Whether you love me, or you hate me, I’ll make sure you respect me. Come on, Malone. Let’s go.”

Both men walked away. It appears the NRWL has a new tag team, a challenge has been answered, and another has been issued.

It's a Matter of Honor

April 5th 2011

Welcome to another edition of the J-Transfer everyone. I’m Jay Phillips and I was hoping to bring you an interview with NRWL wrestler, Mark Blood. The interview started well enough but things took an unexpected turn that every NRWL fan needs to read.

I met with Mark Blood at the NRWL Arena’s interview stage. I invite any fans to join us. We run interviews with an audience even when there isn’t an event scheduled. There was a decent turnout and the fans in attendance were receptive to the young star.

Jay Phillips: Mark Blood, it’s a real pleasure to speak with you today. I believe these fans here today feel the same way.

The fans gave Mark a good cheer and he smiled and waved.

Mark Blood: Thank you, Jay. It’s a pleasure for me as well. Thanks for having me.

JP: How do you feel about being in the NRWL? You’re father, NRWL Hall of Famer Mike Blood, spent a bit of time here during our early days. What is it like to perform on the same stage?

MB: It’s been pretty cool so far. Yeah, my father spent some time here to help get the ball rolling and then went on to manage John Fraust. I’m happy to have the opportunity to perform for the same company as them. I learned a lot from both of them.

JP: Really? You trained under John Fraust as well?

MB: A little, yeah.

JP: Very interesting. Does having this background put pressure on you to perform?

MB: Absolutely, Jay. Absolutely. The truth is that the talent this season is top notch. I really don’t think any NRWL roster has even been this consistent. It makes it that much harder to make a name for yourself. The only way is to push as hard as you possibly can and take every advantage. I absolutely intend to do that. I will be NRWL Champion.

JP: Most recently, you competed in a match against Slam Jackson and Bruno Kowalski. It was a fan favorite match. What are your thoughts on the match?

MB: Well Jay, these guys are both incredible talents. Slam is just a total package. A wealth of talent in the ring, a great persona. He’s really over with these fans. Bruno Kowalski is an incredible mat technician and can get mean when he needs to. I don’t think I’ve seen the last of either of them. It was an honor to have such an incredible match with them both.

At this point in the interview, I was going to ask him who he was going to meet in the ring next but someone else answered instead and things got heated. Johnny Young walked onto the stage and I had no idea what as going to happen next.

Johnny Young: Jay! What are you doing interviewing this guy. Maybe you should spend time with a winner. Like me.

MB: Hey! This is my time, Young. Shouldn’t you be waxing your car for the tenth time today?

JY: Shut your trap, Blood. You know, it’s really a shame to see you without a win in your column. I wrestled John Fraust and he wrestled like he was from another world, man. And your father? I was a HUGE Mike Blood fan growing up. There was no one better than him. I think I still have his action figure somewhere. So what happened to you?

MB: You know, Johnny. I might say the same about you. You walk around and talk about how great you are, about how you were the only previous NRWL star to get re-signed and what have you done? You lost the first round of the tournament and your greatest accomplishment this season is making people laugh at you because you thought Meinrad parked in your parking spot? Speaking of which, I didn’t even see your name on it.

JY: Watch your tongue. You didn’t get any further than I did in that tournament and whether or not that was Meinrad’s car, I still beat him in the ring. You know, your father didn’t have much of a career here but at least he went out on a high note. Unfortunately, I don’t know if you’ll even be employed as the season rolls on. You’re a waste.

At this point, I expected Mark Blood to issue a challenge to Johnny Young. I expected Johnny to accept it. What I did not expect was for Mark Blood to quickly grab Johnny’s wrist, pull him in and short arm clothesline him to the ground and deliver a flurry of punches. I stepped back from the carnage as security broke up the fight. The fans in the audience were cheering wildly. They couldn’t have anticipated some NRWL Action from the interview set. Mark Blood had some words for “The Star Player” as he was pulled off the interview stage.

MB: Young! You and me in the ring! At least then I can pummel you without interference! It’s going to be a pleasure putting you in your place!

Johnny Young, bleeding slightly from the forehead, got to his feet and bared his teeth. He growled at me that Mark Blood was, I quote, “a dead man”. Things really got out of hand but the fans loved it and they are going to love it even more at the next NRWL event when these two athletes meet one-on-one in the ring.

Cashing In

This is the J-Transfer and this is Jay Philips bringing you more breaking news in the aftermath of last Thursday's show! Coming fresh off his loss to Ingoyama, we caught up with Scotty "The Body" Paris...

*cut to Scotty sitting on a therapeutic couch in an immaculate sun-room. His arms are held out while several masseuses rub down and ice his arms and back. Another helper is holding a cell phone to Scotty's ear.*

Scotty: I don't care WHAT they say! The problem is NOT with me! Clearly, the problem is I have the wrong trainers and coaches! But I fixed that first thing last Friday morning. They're all gone and I hired a whole new and better group of trainers. I HATE looking bad. And this is two shows in a row that I've looked bad. It's unacceptable! And it's partly your fault too! I mean, what were you thinking booking me a match like that??? What do you have to say for yourself?? Quiet! I'm still talking! You're not looking out for my best interests! Even if I beat that aborigine, people would be like, 'Ooooh! Scotty! Congratulations on beating someone who just figured out an airplane isn't an angry sky demon!' This match was a lose-lose for me! I am a winner, and people are starting to have doubts that I am!

Now, here's what going to happen. You're going to talk to the NRWL execs, and you're going to get me into that proposed ladder match between Apollyon and Rex Anarchy. .......I know that, tool! I know they won't grant me a chance at the title! I'm not dumb, which you're obviously implying! You need to make it happen like this: if either of them somehow win, they can do whatever title changing they want, or have another match one-on-one or whatever, I don't care! But if I win, I want it to be a 'money in the bank' stipulation. A title shot when I want one! .....Don't give me that! Make it happen! Or the next thing I'm going to lose is my agent for another one who can make things actually happen in my favor! Start earning your paycheck, you tick!

*turns to assistant*

Scotty: Disconnect that call angrily!

*Assistant winds up and thrusts thumb down on the "End Call' button, messing up the phone's LCD*

Scotty: Now go throw that phone in the garbage disposal!

*Assistant leaves, heading towards kitchen*

Scotty: Man, I gotta do everything around here..... OW! Watch it! Easy on the bruises!

*scene cuts to sound of garbage disposal turning on in the next room*

Scotty "The Bruised Body" Paris trying to insert himself into a ladder match with champion Rex Anarchy and the monstrous Apollyon? Yikes. Good luck with that, Scotty. And I mean that in regards to if you're actually granted the match...

A Man of Solutions

April 1st 2011

Rex Anarchy has been rummaging through a storage area in the NRWL Arena. Cameras caught up with the NRWL Champion to see what he was up to. He stepped behind a large wall of chain linked fencing, shook it, and walked away. He picked up some chairs and tossed them down, knocked on a folding table, and then looked away in deep thought. Finally, he looked straight ahead and smiled. He grabbed our camera man and centered the camera on himself.

"Is this thing on? Good. Apollyon, I have to hand it to you. You weren't the over-hyped, inflated piece of garbage I expected. You actually have some skill. I'd say you've earned yourself a shot at the belt and I'm granting it. The NRWL does not feel the same way as they seem pretty angry about you and your bag headed buddy skipping on the tournament. Bad for business, they say. Better qualified contenders, they suggest. Who cares? It's not their belt anymore. It became mine when I won it! But today is the NRWL's lucky day because Rex Anarchy is a man of solutions. I've been thinking about the best way to go about this and I think I figured it out. The NRWL wants a contender to climb the ranks. They want him to climb to the very top and look down over all others. I'm going to give you an opportunity to experience it. See this over here?"

Rex Anarchy motioned for our cameraman to film the corner of the room. There, propped up against a wall was a ladder.

"Apollyon, you are going to climb the ladder of the NRWL! At the top, the NRWL Championship. The very title your manager so desperately wants so you can be the next 'poster boy champion'. It'll be great. They'll make action figures of you, T-Shirts, and maybe even a movie deal! Nick Belhor profits from you and I really hope you don't let him down. The guy has one hell of a mortgage on his Fun House and he can't afford it if you aren't bringing in the big bucks! For your manager's sake, accept my ladder match challenge for the NRWL Championship. I'll bring the ladders. All you need to bring is yourself. Leave the fear of heights at home."

We appear to have a challenge from the champion in the form of a ladder match for the NRWL Championship. We'll keep you updated as this progresses.

Storm on the Horizon

April 1st 2011

Hello folks, this is Jay Phillips with the J-Transfer. Last night we saw an exciting tag team match featuring Ash and Storm Harrison against Marty Anderson and Slugger Malone. It was a hard fought battle but in the end, Slugger Malone and Marty Anderson were victorious. Storm Harrison was knocked out cold and bloodied by Slugger Malone and I wanted to get his thoughts on it.

Storm Harrison: Jay, I'm not even sure what happened. I was battling Marty Anderson, he manages to get a tag, and then everything was a blur. The next thing I know, I'm looking at the ceiling with blood flowing into my eyes.

Jay Phillips: Did you watch the tape of the match afterwards?

SH: Yeah, Malone came in like a tornado, cold clocked me, belted Ash off the apron, and then knocked me right out. I won't take anything away from Malone. He's a fierce competitor, for sure, but let's face facts. He should be thanking Marty Anderson for that victory. Malone barely did anything in the match. I don't think this is over yet. Malone, you got in a good shot but it won't happen again. Let's do this one on one. When you find yourself in the ring with Storm Harrison, you'd better find shelter!

JP: A strong challenge to be sure. Any thoughts on your partner, Ash?

SH: Ash is a great guy and someone you want in your corner. I'm sorry we lost the match but I'd definitely have his back anytime. Ash, you ever need my help, don't hesitate to call. I'll be there.

JP: Before I let you go, the fans really seem to be taking a liking to you. How have you been enjoying this reception?

SH: It's been wonderful, Jay. I'm just trying to make a name for himself here and the NRWL fans are the best support you could ask for. With the fans behind me I'm really going to go places. You can count on that!

Storm Harrison is ready to step back into the ring with Slugger Malone. With Malone accept? I'm certain we will find out soon!
