To Be Champion Again

*Jay Phillips is standing in the ring with microphone in hand.*

Jay Phillips: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time... Johnny Young!

*"Stain" by Full Devil Jacket begins and playing and Johnny Young walks out to the ring. He climbs through the ropes and shakes hands with Jay Phillips. The crowd cheers as Johnny steps up on the turnbuckle and flexes toward the crowd. He reaches down to grab a microphone from someone at ringside and then walks up to Jay in the middle of the ring.*

JP: Johnny Young, it's been an interesting run for you as of late. You came back to the NRWL at the beginning of last season, proved that you were still a star player amongst a roster of new competitors, and finished off the season as NRWL Champion. Since then, things have changed drastically. You aren't the only veteran anymore. Ash is now the NRWL Champion. But most importantly for you, the fans have found a new found respect for you. I think those fans would like to know, what is next in the illustrious career of Johnny Young.

Johnny Young: Jay, if there is one thing these fans know, it is that you were wrong about one thing. I am not "a star player", I am THE Star Player! Aawwwwwww Yeeeeeeaaaahhh!!!

*The crowd cheers and Johnny smiles before adjusting his sunglasses and speaking again.*

JY: It's true. A lot has changed in the NRWL. For me, you know, I noticed that the NRWL Championship had not been given the respect it deserved. It didn't feel important anymore. Maybe it's because I'm not twenty years old anymore but I started seeing things differently. I wanted to be remembered as one of the greatest wrestlers to ever compete in this company. It took focus and it took a show of respect toward those who make it possible for me to this every night. Jay, the fans started respecting me because I started respecting them!

*The crowd begins cheering again. Johnny holds out and hand mouths off microphone, "No, thank you" to the fans.*

JY: I may have won the NRWL Championship but as I stand in this ring, that championship belt is missing from my waist. Ash beat me in a great match. My second title reign may have been short lived but it was an honor to be your champion and since then, I'm proud to say that I was successful in what I set out to do. The NRWL Championship has been the focus of this company ever since. There has been increased focus on the champion, there have been more title defenses, and the title scene has kept everyone engaged. That said, I am not done. Ash, you have your hands full with Bruno Kowalski and a list of guys backstage who want a shot at that title. You need to know that I am one of those guys on the list. I will be NRWL Champion again. I --

*"Heavy" by Collective Soul starts to play through the arena and Johnny turns his head toward to the entrance ramp. Storm Harrison walks out to the stage with a microphone in hand.*

Storm Harrison: Very touching. Johnny, you may see yourself as some kind of a hero but I know the truth. The fans may turn their blind eye to you but I still haven't forgotten that you mercilessly, without provocation, assaulted me. You threw me down a stairwell and set my career back over a year. I would be the biggest thing going in the NRWL right now if it wasn't for you.

JY: Storm, you know the risks of this business. Anything can happen. You know what though? I would like to take a moment to apologize. I would like --

SH: Whoa whoa whoa... Hold on. If you are going to apologize, as you rightly should, you shouldn't do it during an interview with a second rate announcer like Jay Phillips. Storm Watch is a much better platform. It would be great to have you as a guest so you can apologize like a man in front of a much larger audience. I will see you there!

*"Heavy" begins playing again and Storm walks backstage. Johnny looks at Jay and shrugs his shoulders. Johnny stands up on the turnbuckles and poses for the crowd before walking out.*
